Welcome to Charleston Gymnastics!

Children ages 3-18 can participate in programs at the City of Charleston Gymnastics Training Center located at the James Island Recreational Complex in Charleston, South Carolina.

Our staff are chosen for their teaching skills and gymnastics knowledge, as well as for their enthusiasm and love for working with children. Regardless of the level of the students, our professional staff focus on teaching strength, coordination, and the fundamentals of gymnastics.

Each child will develop greater self-esteem by learning physical skills in a safe, positive environment. Gymnastics provides a unique basis for physical education with its development of strength, coordination, balance and flexibility. We offer a wide variety of teaching apparatus in the one of the largest and best equipped gymnastics facilities in the lowcountry. Classes are set up as two sessions of 18-week classes in the fall and spring, with a summer program also available.

USAG Certified GymWe currently offer preschool, recreation, cheer, and competitive team levels. The Charleston Gymnastics Training Center is a proud member of the USA Gymnastics Association (USAG).

2010 Spring Gymnastics Recital
On May 8th the students from Charleston Gymnastics Training Center will present “Rockin’ Through the Years,” a display of music, dance, and gymnastics. Each student will perform a group floor routine with their class, as well as an individual routine on the bars and beam. This fun, no-pressure performance provides a great opportunity for family and friends to see the rewards of our gymnasts’ efforts and determination. We would love to see all of our students participate. An exciting show is planned for all of the participants and spectators, including exhibition performances by our competitive gymnastics and All-Star cheerleading teams.

There will be two shows held on Saturday, May 8, 2010. The first show will begin at 12:00 p.m., and the second will begin at 4:00 p.m. The show assignments for each class will be sent home the week of March 15th. Deadline to register to participate is March 5, 2010.
